Equine Law

Equine law is the practice of law as it relates to all aspects of horses, equestrian sports, equine businesses, organizations and facilities.  Equine legal issues can involve sales and transfer agreements and disputes, board and lease contracts, medication and drug related issues, competition protests, USEF hearings, liability defense and business formation.  The firm is experienced in representing athletes, owners, trainers, facility owners, and equestrian organizations in a variety of legal matters.

Our equine legal services include drafting board agreements and waivers/releases for farm owners, sales agreements for purchasers, sellers and lease agreements; litigating veterinary malpractice lawsuits; defending claims of fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of consumer protection laws; prosecuting liens for unpaid board, defending drug/medication violations at USEF; defending personal injury claims; and advising clients regarding business entities and insurance.
