Defense Verdict - Auto Liability
The Peterson Bernard Team obtained a successful defense verdict in an auto accident case where liability was disputed. The case was tried in Martin County. Plaintiff contended that the Defendant violated his right of way, thereby striking him and causing the accident. The Defendant contended that the Plaintiff cut a turn too sharp and struck him as he was stopped waiting to exit a parking lot. There were no independent witnesses to the accident. The jury found no negligence on the part of the Defendant. Attorneys fees are being sought against the Plaintiff due to a rejected proposal for settlement.
